at only around 50 odd rooms the hotel is of a nice size. Whilst we were there they only had 15-20 guests, all execept us were German. This was supplemented at weekends by local Sri Lankan family's having birthday parties etc in the restaurant, along with some conference guests. Rooms are nice size, with solid wood floors and A/C. Had a king size been which was nice. Ours was cleaned daily and a man comes round at dusk and plugs in a mosquito repellant in your room (good as we were bitten a couple of times). Top tip: Dont let them put the flowers on your pillow each day - it attracts ants into the room. The beach is nice, but nobody seems to use it as the beach-boys are always down there. This tuned out to be a blessing though as we took several tours with the lad called "Sandy" who was very good indeed. All in all a nice quiet hotel for lazing by the pool and switching off for a few days/weeks

The hotel is getting a little tired, needs a make-over. EG wardrobe a bit musty due to damp seepage from shower. But the food is OK, the service great, and the cost very reasonable. If they sorted out the rooms, it would be really good.
