I stayed in two different rooms between two nights. Both were very comfy, although the second one - the single twin bed - did not have an air conditioning unit even though they did provide a fan. Reception was friendly and helpful, breakfast was good with eggs and hash browns I could eat as a vegetarian, and there were nice event spaces and a front patio as well. I was there for a friend's wedding that took place nearby and was happy this was the hotel she chose.

It’s a frustrating review, the hotel is lovely, the staff were on point and the attached bar and restaurant both excellent. Sadly, I had a terrible nights sleep due to the almost unbearable temperature of the room. I’ve never stayed anywhere quite like it, the inch opening of the window and small fan provided dud nothing to make it any better. A lovely hotel,

Terrible check in, unprofessional, one member of staff stormed off leaving another to deal with us. Clearly having personal issues with each other.

Great location and the hotel has all amenities to be a really great hotel however, room was so hot, air con machine provided but it was so loud we barely slept. Restaurant is a great space but cooked breakfast was cold, only the manager and one other staff were able to help with requests all other junior staff were slightly unaware of the options available in the restaurant when asked they’re reply on where to order fried eggs it was “I’ll get my manager”. Just a few small touches regarding service however as mentioned it has all the amenities to be a brilliant hotel.

The room was clean and well sized, as was the bathroom. We had upgraded to the executive room as the description said that it was a Queen bed, but it wasn't. It was just a double, not even king-size, and fairly uncomfortable at that. Consequently we had a pretty rubbish night's sleep.

Staff and service was amazing, bed comfy but room was stifling hot even with a portable air conditioning unit as the window doesn’t open wide enough for the hot air to be let out, so although the bed was extremely comfy I couldn’t manage any sleep. The bathroom flooded as I took a shower because the shower screen is not sufficient and I had to leave all the towels on the floor to absorb the water.

Beautiful room in the old town, 24hr check in service and a wonderful included breakfast.

Room was a little too warm but generally clean and comfortable with everything needed.

Great evening … very hot , but I slept… noisy on the street, but I slept … my wife struggled with the road / people noise

Everyone who worked there was really nice. Little hard to find a shop open in the evening so just be prepped. I’m sure they have extra food at the hotel

Was a lovely hotel, stayed there as it was a freinds wedding and theplace was beautiful

The staff were friendly and helpful. Good parking. The food was well cooked and served. We don't like buffet breakfast but it was hot and well displayed.

Check-in started off a bit frustrating, as the reception was unmanned and we had to wait a little while to find someone. That said, once we were attended to, the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We were told around 8 p.m. that the hotel bar would open at 11 p.m. when the night team arrived. Not a major issue, but it meant a late-night dash to Tescos opposite for a bottle of wine instead. The bedroom itself was lovey - comfortable and nicely decorated. I even liked the pillow so much I ordered one from the website! However, the room was a bit too warm, but things went downhill from there. Our view was directly onto the hotel’s extraction ducting. While the room came with a fan and we opened the window to cool down, the night-time noise from the ducts was loud and persistent, leading to a really poor night’s sleep. To top it off, the room seemed set up for just one guest, with a small double bed - not what I had booked.

Lovely comfortable hotel. Only thing to be aware of is the lack of lift if you have luggage or mobility concerns. Other than that nothing to fault

Handy for the nearby bars and restaurants, the rooms are hot, the soap dispensers are fragile and the the toilet roll holder fell off

Great hotel. Lively location.

We have stayed before and each time the hotel is friendly and beautifully maintained and comfortable and the staff cannot do enough. Enjoyed out stay even though a bit of a sad time for us, scattering ashes of my mum, but the hotel made it a happy experince.

Typical English hotel. Everything is old and used but in good condition. The bed was really great. Thin walls and a loud disturbing ventilation. Breakfast English with nothing special. Just acceptable. For this price not ok.

Lovely receptionist when I checked in and then more help at the front desk when I needed it. Excellent accommodation, I'd go back!

The hotel was very nice . It was quiet and the bath and shower were excellent. Would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel, no complaints, would stay again. Well situated for restaurants and bars. No problems with parking.
