    The hotel is beautiful, surrounded by beach water, and has a very relaxing view. It’s close to the beach, and we appreciated the valet parking.

    We booked this hotel as a last trip for my elderly father whom we drove down to Florida for his brothers funeral. I was excited as it was on the water and I knew my 87 yr old dad would love to just sit on the balcony and watch the boats on the inlet. When we got there we were informed there was a $38 a day fee for Valet parking. This is a valet only hotel, which we were aware of as none of the sites we were on had that information. I went on both Agoda and the Marriott websites and neither had that information. So we were forced to pay the $38 a day fee. The hotel is pricey and you would have thought they would have a nice restaurant , but we found out when we got there, their Bistro is a bar and a bunch of tables in the reception area. There was a rooftop bar as well and both used the same kitchen. The food was bar food. For a hotel this size and of this caliber there should be a restaurant for its visitors to eat at because every time you left the hotel you had to call valet for your car. It was very inconvenient. There was no free breakfast, no daily housekeeping, and when we entered our room we had a one cup coffee maker with 1 coffee pod. 1 coffee pod for 3 adults in the room. When I called down to the office the first night to have someone bring up more coffee, they never came. We were not scheduled for cleaning the next day so we knew we wouldn’t be getting any more pods. We took it upon ourselves to go find a cleaning cart to get enough pods to service all 3 of us. They do not clean the rooms every day and bring fresh towels or any other supplies you might need. When we questioned these things with the front desk they basically said that this is the way it is and we had to deal with it. I am seriously disappointed with Marriott. There were so many other hotels on the beach I could have booked but chose this one due to their old reputation. I will never stay at another Marriott again, and will speak of our experience with my friends and relatives as well to save them the disappointment and discomfort we had to endure during a difficult time with a family loss. They did not make our stay a pleasant one.
