Rodeway Inn & Suites Canyon Lake-Menifee West

The hotel was dirty and smelled like marijuana. I reserved a non-smoking room and the room they gave me smelled like smoke and had an ash tray on the dresser. Per the staff that was a non-smoking room. The hotel was so bad we decided to leave and stayed at another hotel down the street.

Was a very run down "Roadway Inn & Suites". If no name on building would describe as a 1.5 star motel. Have stayed in Motel 6 and Lazy 8 etc that were better.

Great location, great rooms with balconies however… three people noted, only one set of towels. Called ahead of time to say I would be there after midnight the clerk was not receptive to say the least and attempted to scold me that I said “I would be there at 1am”…great option but not if I’m going to be I. Trouble for arriving late - I reside out of town- hence the need for the room.

It was quiet

Horrible room and hotel. The bed had stains, the pillows had stains, the walls were all scratched up and had missing plaster. Nothing about this hotel was good. Every picture that was used was a glamour photo and did not represent the true room. We did not even stay and had to look for a new place at 10pm.

The room was clean and had a nice tiled shower. The air conditioner worked very good. Parking was convenient.

The entrance to the rooms the carpet was filthy, the room was old, chipped paint, sticky floor, bed was very used, pillows were terrible and flat, blanket had lil burnt holes, closet door had graffiti, the pole had chipped paint, the hangers fell apart when trying to hang, I was afraid there were going to be bugs. No customary items what so ever. This was the worse hotel I have ever stayed in I would have not stayed but I was so tired from my flight I didn't have the strength to go somewhere else but I did check out the next morning.

I stay here often for work. It is quiet,clean and affordable.

Dirty, missing remotes to tv, took 1 hour to fix tv, personaell couldn’t figure out what was wrong.

No signal on TV for second time. No soap. No hangers.

The room smells like cigarettes even on the Non-Smoking room. The AC doesn’t get cold immediately. Wifi Sucks. Tv isn’t working. Sink’s broken and lastly The Towels got other people’s hair. Good staff though!

The room smelled so bad like a sewer. Another non smoking room smelled really bad of smoke. Bugs in room. The one good point was Sam at the desk. He was very friendly & tried very hard to accommodate any requests & to correct problems.

the place was not clean and falling apart. the linens had cigarette burns all over them and i could not stay there. we ended up leaving after 20 minutes and drove 2 hours home

I was in town for a memorial service and needed an inexpensive option to stay one night. The property is located across main street from an exclusive country club area, so I expect this is the reason the property was quiet. The trim on the doors could use replacement (it was cracked and peeling and there were visible gaps at the bottom of the door). The water pressure was a little weak but tolerable. The bed was very comfortable. The freezer compartment in the fridge could use defrosting. If you need an affordable option with a comfy bed and is quiet but not big on any other bells and whistles, this location will more than suffice.

Great place to visit if you are visiting Canyon Lake.

Our room had obviously had the door kicked open with a very makeshift repair. The adjoining room door was just a single thin door, could even hear people whisper in the next room. Shower had black mold, we chose not to even use it. Bed was fine. Thin walls and loose door made sleep impossible, left at 4 AM.

It was a non smoking room and stank like cigarettes. No smoke alarm and t.v. remote. I had to plug in thw cable box to make things work. Coffee machine in the. Lobby was out of order. Terrible experience.

Room was clean except for walls, they should clean those as well. Check in & out was easy. Young lady at counter (I think Peah), was very polite.

It was clear as we entered the what you call lobby, this wasn't going to be the kind of hotel we were expecting. The check in was fine but we could tell right away this hotel is in desperate need of an upgrade. As we walked to our room the hallway carpet is in complete need of replacement and there was a musty old smell. As we entered our room, you could smell that they had cleaned it,but not sure what type of cleaner they used. The floors were were completely out dated made of old wood flooring. The large mirror had weird stains all over it,again in need of replacement. We didn't end up staying the night,but the bed did seem to be comfortable. The tv only had a few channels available and the remote didn't even have the back on it. Thankfully we did have a small refrigerator to keep our drinks and snacks in and there was a small microwave if we needed it. The room was completely out dated with only 3 little pictures on 1 wall.I am sorry to say, I would never recommend this hotel to anyone, especially for the price we paid and what we got.

It was the worst place we have ever stayed. We had to change rooms because of bugs and human hair in the sheets that had never been changed. We stay that night because we had no where to go until the next day. For the TV you pretty much had to buy X-rated PPV. It was really bad.

I am very very picky with the dirt, odor and whatever that makes me feel uncomfortable but I found this hotel isn’t that bad! People are scary but respectful and very clean inside the suite! My friend and I agreed that isn’t that bad!

Great place to stay if you have something to do at Canyon Lake

I will be looking for a refund. The room smells like someone is smoking in it. It reaks of cigarettes. The sheets are stained along with the pillow cases. The bathroom is dirty with napkins or toilet paper on the floor. Their is stains on the drapes the door looks like it was kicked in multiple times the molding in falling off the wall. Their is holes in the wall. We are sleeping fully clothed. This is awful.

The hallway carpet looks like it hasn’t been changed in over 15 years. The phone in my room didn’t work when I called to the front desk, using my cell phone she did not apologize or say anything about getting it fixed. The remote control for the TV was missing the back piece. The room was a smoke free room. It smelled like it had been smoked in. I was very disappointed in the property and the price was not cheap. I feel like I’m being generous with two stars.

Closet door was broken and the side table drawer kept sliding open. It would not close.

Very noisy this is a spot where people live here they also have fleas in the shower they were jumping everywhere holes in the linen bed sunk in couldn’t sleep I have bites on my legs and arms don’t stay here.

Everything was dirty, a/c didn’t work, tv didn’t work, hair in the bathroom. Broken door. The list goes on.

Had to check in from a window outside of the building at 8:30 pm
