While it had "historic inn" charm, all the accoutrements and hardware were modern and thoughtfully installed and presented. The bathroom was especially luxurious and even included a large jacuzzi tub. The large room and bathroom were impeccably clean and though we eschewed maid service by displaying a Do Not Disturb card we returned to our room to discover a neatly wrapped bag of fresh towels placed outside the door.
The driveway leading uphill to the outbuilding we shared with perhaps four other guest rooms was a bit rough but any modern vehicle could easily traverse it at a slow pace. The soundproofing was exceptional and we only sensed the presence of other guests by observing their parked cars and meeting them while traversing the charming garden path to the main building and dining room.
