Great variety, but restaurant booking and shuttle tracking need work
The staff here were very helpful and truly tried their best, though the language barrier made communication a bit challenging at times. A huge plus for us was having access to the other restaurants and buffets within the Barceló group, and booking activities like water sports or a slot at the tennis and racquetball courts was incredibly easy.
However, the reservation system for the à la carte restaurants definitely needs improvement. They are always fully booked by the time you check in, leaving you to just hope for a last-minute cancellation. We managed to eat at Marenostrum, but the service was incredibly slow—likely due to kitchen bottlenecks rather than the waitstaff.
Lastly, it would be a massive help if the resort shuttle had a real-time GPS tracker. We ended up waiting over 30 minutes not knowing when or where the shuttle would show up. In that heat, we actually could have walked to our destination sooner if we had just known the status.
Overall, a nice stay with great options, but the dining and transportation logistics could be smoother!
