Days Inn by Wyndham Fallsview

We stayed here a few times before, but now it’s like a whole different place.. The rooms were very comfortable.

Very very nice

We have been here before at this hotel, so we stayed here again for Comic Con that was right down the street from this hotel. However, this time we were given several hidden fees when checking-in at the front desk in addition to what we already paid in advance when booking months before. The parking lot was free and suddenly we were told that it was now $30 per car per night to stay on the lot. The whole point of us staying here was that the hotel provided free parking and then we could walk to the convention each day that we were there. So that felt intentionally misleading and taking advantage of us having all drove in separate vehicles. The alternative was that our cars would be towed otherwise so we paid. We were told that our rooms were not even ready yet either and their excuse is that they had a massive surge of people show up the night before for the yearly Comic Con event. I fail to see how this prevented us from having our rooms since I had the rooms booked months ahead of time when planning our trip. In fact, I called ahead a week prior to confirm our booking and to request an early check-in and late check-out time, which was accepted. Additionally, I booked the last two rooms available that weekend in this hotel, so I know that there should not have been any larger of a number of people checking in than what they would have seen months prior. Unless the website lied about their vacancy to increase the price. Then we get the two rooms, an hour later than we were supposed to, and we immediately see that the AC unit in one of the rooms was not working. Maintenance is called, then when he arrives he tells us he was brought to our room to fix a toilet, which we were confused about but sure enough the toilet in the same room was also not flushing right and had to be fixed. We also noticed a puddle of water that kept reappearing on the floor and realized there was a leak in our roof in front of the window the whole time. Honestly there was so many issues we had with our stay that I can't even fit them all in this box of text and it was extremely disappointing for our whole group. We were a group of 9 people and 4 of us were staying in these rooms, we collectively agreed we will never book this hotel again for our yearly trips going forward. Definitely not worth what we spent in the end.

there was trash in the room, not clean at all. I found live insect in the room, they charges extra for the parking above what they mentioned, instead of $60 plus tax for 2 days parking they charges $75.59 with lame excuses.
