Grand Mogador Menara

Arrived in March 2026 Hotel room was very disappointing with old fashioned room which needed lot of attention. Bathroom sink was cracked bath tub worn out Room needed TLC. Went downstairs as the rooms were were shown in a previous visit and we had booked were not the same. The receptionist *** and *** were not helpful. Especially *** she was the one with glasses and red jumper very rude actually saying show me on your phone the photos you saw and you want us to give you delux room room and someone else standard. She was glaring. She needs training and how to speak to guests in a good way. I then contacted Agoda and told them how unhappy we were as we could not t stay in such a room standards were very low. They showed us another room but that was the same nothing different. Whilst we were waiting for Agoda to see if they can move us to another hotel we spoke to *** guest relations and duty manager who was wonderful person. He listened to us and told us to wait . The reception staff had said hotel was full no rooms available but he had a beautiful room cleaned within half an hour. Big spacious and modern. When he took us to see we were so happy and greatful I had tears in my eyes. We will never forget his kindness. He even sent English breakfast tea with milk to our rooms. And looked after us very well. *** also and the manager of the hotel can’t remember her name kept asking if we needed anything and were we ok. We appreciated that. We then started enjoying the holiday. Location is wonderful and majlis area so beautiful. The salon staff were very friendly especially *** who manicured my nails. High standards. Breakfast was ok. Swimming pool area was ok cold weather cold pool and construction work on going at the back was bit noisy and distracting. They are building 3 hotels at the back. We didn’t have any meals there. When we were leaving on the last day there Was 2 taxi drivers who anre anlways parked outside who asked if we wanted a ride to airport. They told us everyone charges the same in the city but they were over priced. Their price was double that of what we had been quoted with ‘in drive’ so we called our own taxi it is like uber, when they saw the old driver from in drive they came right up to him and started shouting so loudly he was trembling. It was horrible to see. He didn’t do anything illegal. We booked him and he came. I don’t think this hotel should allow private taxi drivers to wait outside intimidating guests and shouting at taxi drivers. Especially If they cannot give a fair price. They bring the hotel into disrepute. We felt so sorry for the driver we actually paid him double when we reached the airport. It was not a nice end to our holiday. Would we re visit? Not sure we would visit the staff and say hello. Tha k you *** the cleaner who was always polite and kind and the managing director of the hotel who was asking if we needed anything.

Pool and room was great

The staff is very attentive and courteous. Pleasant place for stay in Marrakech.

Stayed here for 2 nights in December 2025, very disappointed! The place is run down and worn out, the room we were in was in need of urgent renovation, old decor, old furniture, tiled floors, mouldy bathroom caulking and generally the entire room was in a poor state. Towels were old and worn. Sliding door onto balcony had a metal bar lodged to hold it locked. Corridors were dark, musty smell etc. Dining restaurant and breakfast was ok, but service was poor. Would not recommend this place, especially for the price.
