    I stayed at Blue Magpie Lodge for two nights. It was close to the Sinharaja Rainforest and surrounding village areas which were great for birds and other wildlife. The room was large and spacious, with good air conditioning and a nice shower. The food was good and a filling packed breakfast was provided each morning. The staff helped organise a two hour night walk for me with a local guide for $10. The downside was that much of the property, including the standard room in which I stayed, had no wifi and very limited 4G signal (Dialog).

    The lodge is clean, simple and has nice grounds. It is situated well to access Sinharaja. The staff is friendly and helpful. We would stay here again!

    Hosts were fantastic, helpful. We had a welcome drink, and the food was good (traditional sri lankese). The only two minor points for us were the rooms (very basic) and the price which is much higher than other lodges in Sri Lanka for comparable facilities.
