Secrets Resort was a great place, but it had some limitations. The restaurant options and amenities were limited, and everything was basically on the Breathless side of the resort. This got a bit annoying at times, as we had to go back and forth between the two sides to request top-shelf alcohol.
The difference in customer service was also quite noticeable. The staff seemed to adjust their behavior once they realized we were staying at Secrets. This made us feel a bit uncomfortable.
The rooms were clean, but the resort would blame not cleaning them on an automated message that was sent daily. The message claimed that the do not disturb button was lit, but we checked multiple times and the light was not on. The resort would simply skip over our room and we would have to request a cleaning.
The beach was not suitable for swimming, and the pool seating was extremely limited, both on the Breathless and Secrets sides of the resort.
Overall, Secrets Resort did not meet our expectations, and I would not recommend it to anyone.
