Cute place

We came here for our wedding weekend and interacted with the friendliest staff. An issue arose and the manager, Pete, promptly fixed the issues and was a gift to work with. He even provided us with a little historical tour of the property! It has such a rich history!

This place was great! Has alot of charm, history, very close to downtown and was a very relaxing stay!

Should have a map of the property to locate your cabin. It is dark and lurking around all the other guest cabins could be bad. Couldn't find a pet area, unless that was the area just outside out room? If so, it was full of thorns and burrs in the weeds, they injured my dogs' feet. The top sheet was so very worn and pilling, we had to sleep on top of it and use the bedspread as a top sheet. Possibly some bug zappers in a distance or yellow lights to help with the bugs flying around outside the door?

Room was very nice. Parking was extremely easy. Wonderful experience with staff.

We were there for wedding so really did not spend much time at location. Room was clean adequate. Bed was very comfortable. Room was not ready when we arrived but we did get a up grade.

Meyer Inn is located in a quiet scenic neighborhood off the highway which gave us convenient access to visit Fredericksburg Our room was clean, rustic, well kept and had plenty of space for my wife and I and our pup. Check in was easy and although we didn’t use the pool, it was clean and maintained very well.

Comfortable, peaceful, relaxing, clean. Everything within walking distance. We took our dog and he loved it, too! Staff was so nice and grounds were beautiful!

We loved the ambience of the place. It was very quiet and just perfect for us. We plan to return.

My husband and I wanted to get away for a few days and this was the perfect spot. The place was so clean and homey. Loved the claw foot tub! The whole complex was so clean and unique. We loved all the different buildings and the antiques in the common spaces. Perfect place for a family reunion or a wedding. And Comfort, Texas was just the perfect little Texas town. So quiet and calm. We walked through the town and neighborhood and it was great! Definitely would recommend to all my family and friends.

Have stayed at Meyer many times, always a wonderful experience. This time we were in rm 411, upstairs above the old dining hall. Had our own private screened in porch above the creekside meadow. Comfortable and clean room. Always enjoy the large clean pool with complementary towel service. And a quiet stay, as always. Many thanks, Meyer!

Location was great. Cottage style property is very attractive.

The room was very nice. It was clean and decorated with antique furniture. The bath was an old style tub which did give my wife difficulty. But, I would stay again.

The place itself is cute, but my room had dead bugs all over the place. And I don’t mean just one or two, I mean literally hundreds of dead bugs. They were all over the bathroom floor, in the shower, and on the bedsheets. Basically any white surface, I could see tons of them. I thought it was tiny hairs at first all over, but no—it was tiny bugs all over. They were probably on the carpet, too, but the carpet was dark so I didn’t want to pay too close attention. Some of the bugs were still alive and would fly at me when I was trying to ge to bed. Not fun. If it weren’t for the bugs, this would be a great stay.

We stayed at The Meyer Hotel in Comfort, TX last weekend in the two-bedroom suite, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst lodging experiences we've had. Check-in was self-service, and I had received a text saying our room was ready. When we entered, we were hit with the noise of a loud, poorly sealed window unit air conditioner blowing forcefully into the room. But what was even more alarming were the hundreds of tiny black specks all over the white king-sized bed—dead bugs. As we looked around more closely, we realized the problem was everywhere. Dead bugs and moths were scattered all over the bathroom—on the towels, countertops, floors, and even the walls. There were also live moths flying around the room. It honestly felt like a nightmare. I found the property manager, who came to look at the room and apologized, but said that because it was near the creek, there wasn’t much he could do. He had someone come in to “touch up” the room while we stepped out for a few hours. When we returned, it looked better on the surface, but bugs were still in corners, and throughout the space. Nothing felt clean. My husband ended up sealing the air conditioner with paper towels because it was clear that bugs were coming in through the large gaps around the unit. Adding to the chaos, there was a loud wedding reception happening just outside our window that went on until about 11. We were so exhausted that we just stayed but I’ve never stayed somewhere that felt this dirty/neglected.

Overall experience was good. Lighting was a bit dim and AC was noisy. TV operation with Roku was complicated or we are just not techie enough. Unfortunately, we had to leave after one night because of flooding and manager said we would get a refund.

A quaint, quiet hotel in a small, quaint, quiet town. We loved it!

The Meyer Hotel is a collection of historic and new buildings offering guests unique experiences. I especially enjoyed sitting outside overlooking the river and watching deer. A very short walk from the hotel is the local bar, a pizza place, all just around the corner from an exceptional coffee shop. This historic town kept surprising me and it started with the Meyer Hotel.

My husband and I appreciated our weekend stay in the Hill Country. The hotel is centrally located in the very small unincorporated town of Comfort, with antique shops in walking distance, along with a few great restaurants. Most places in the area were within walking distance, including the winery with a lovely tasting room. I will definitely return.

Room should be ready, fire detector needed a battery. Appreciate being moved to another room, but staff should not come in room for a tour.

Nice and quiet - spacious rooms

Very relaxing. Ez in. Ez out. Pool was welcoming and refreshing. My dogs loved the place too. A slice of paradise in Comfort. We will definitely be back.
