My 4-day stay at Ibis Hotel Alfafar, Valencia was disappointing mainly due to the reception service. The front desk staff, particularly some of the ladies, were unfriendly and dismissive. It often felt like guests were disturbing them when asking for basic assistance. They also ignored waiting queues unless someone called out for attention. Because of this attitude, I felt uncomfortable approaching the reception during my stay. Overall, a very poor service experience that needs serious improvement.

My recent 4-day stay at Ibis Hotel Alfafar, Valencia was unfortunately overshadowed by a very poor reception experience. The staff at the front desk, particularly 2 receptionist, came across as highly unprofessional and unfriendly. Their attitude felt dismissive, almost as if guests were inconveniencing them by requesting basic services. There was little to no sense of hospitality, and interactions often felt uncomfortable. What was most frustrating was the lack of attention to guests waiting in line. The queue seemed to be ignored unless someone actively called out for attention, which is not what one expects from a hotel reception. It gave the impression that attending to guests was not a priority unless it suited them. Over the course of my stay, I actually felt reluctant—and even somewhat embarrassed—to approach the reception for assistance, which should never be the case in any hotel environment. Overall, this was one of the most disappointing service experiences I have encountered, and I sincerely hope the management addresses these issues to improve guest satisfaction.
