Good place to stay for family trip

The location was really good. Easy to access all tourist attractions and eating out. The apartment block is secure and you can only access the building with your key card. Use of the pool and gym was good. However there is no direct access from your apartment, you have to walk out on the street to access the Renaissance hotel for the pool and gym. There is restricted times at the pool for children under 12. Based on other marriott stays we have never had restrictions. This was unfair for the kids of we choose to go out for the day they were unable to relax in the pool in the evening. The apartment are due refurbishment. One of our apartments had a big hole in the plinth in the kitchen. There was a leaky sink in the other apartment toilet and had rust around pipe work and tap. The toilet light switch wasn't cleaned very well. There was no towel holder in the separate toilet so the towel was just propped on the tiny sink. For kids to manage this, the towel always ended up on the floor. The staff were amazing and helpful. Helped us with a list of activities. The restaurant in Renaissance had good breakfast choices. They didn't open for lunch and were closed on Sundays?? So we had to travel out to eat. Having said all this, the receptionist said they are in the process of modernising the apartments and room in the Renaissance. We would use these apartments again.

Ok, apartment was secure and clean and it's the next building, not the hotel, just a short walk. We had issues with the hot water and also staff at the reception are kinda blur and had trouble with understanding English. We also booked dinner on our last night at the restaurant where they confirmed my reservation the night before but then the next night, when we went down, no one knew about my reservation! It was sorted out after a long while and many other more incidents with the front office staff which kinda got us baffled and irritated. Other than that, it was an apartment that has all the basic necessities...good luck!

Some machine in the room are dirty, like the coffee machine and the toaster. Even can find small bug inside! The front door is too old and rusty. There are too many door in the room that let the room feel very crowded. But the staffs are very kind.
