Carmel Valley Lodge was amazing! There are so many positive things to comment on! The outdoor life size games like Chess, Connect 4, Jenga were super cool! The pool area was beautiful and quiet - I loved the loungers, the hot tub, the fire pit. My room also had a partially closed off front porch which I enjoyed sitting out there drinking coffee, listening to the birds. There aren't enough words to describe the greatness of the staff - from the greeting when I entered to the small talk about tv shows to the simple check out (P.S. they have a nice shop with lots of hand made items so bring extra spending monies!) Even the young woman setting out breakfast was kind and helpful! The room was lovely, I adore the fireplace, the look and feel of the room felt like home, it was clean and had all amenities needed! As a solo, female traveler I felt safe and taken care of here!

Very nice, quaint, garden setting and pet accommodating. Breakfast was very nice and well prepared.
No microwaves in rooms.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The continental breakfast was fabulous! Each morning the menu was slightly different and it was all delicious.
