The line for a drink at the bar was 20 people deep, so no wine for me last night. The bedroom was to hot, turned the A/C on and it was to loud so could not sleep. I could hear people walking around upstairs. Whilst the hotel can not be blamed for the rain hitting the windows, they could have the trees cut back to atop the branches hitting the windows in the wind.

I put my dirty clothes on the carpeted floor of the built-in wardrobe, only to find that they were soaking wet the next morning. Probably to do with the pipes in the wardrobe. The hotel did offer another room, which I declined. One lift was not working. Decor in the lobby on 5th floor was shabby. Service was average. Dinner was average and not cheap. Decor of the bedroom and bathroom was tired 1980's style. Location nice, parking good. 1km walk into town for an excellent choice of restaurants.

There was no tea, coffee, milk or sugar in the room so I called down to reception and was told I could go and get some ‘if I wanted some’ at the time I had only just got up and not dressed so I was disappointed with that. When I went down later I was told to go to the restaurant and get the items for myself! Not all that helpful. It’s a shame that the pool and Spa doesn’t open till 11am either but on the whole it’s a very nice hotel in a nice town.
