A Great Location, but the Room Needs Some Attention
I recently stayed at the Majestic South Beach, and overall, my experience was mixed.
Pros: The location is definitely the biggest highlight. The hotel is right by the beach, which made it very convenient to enjoy South Beach. The restaurant on-site was also a nice convenience, and the staff I interacted with were pleasant. Being so close to the beach made the location worth it for us.
Cons: The room itself could use some updating and better maintenance. I noticed some loose electrical outlets, stains around the sides of the toilet, and a fixture around the sink that needed to be repaired. The beds were also extremely firm, so comfort may be an issue depending on your preference. The elevator was not working during our stay, although the stairs weren’t a major issue for me personally.
Housekeeping did come through during our stay and took out the trash, but after returning from the beach, there was quite a bit of sand on the floor. I asked if there was a small broom available, but unfortunately there wasn’t one. Since we’re so close to the beach, sand is understandable, but having a simple way to clean it up would have made the stay more comfortable. Later when returning, the sand indeed was cleaned up
I also recommend paying attention to the additional fees at check-in and making sure you understand what each charge covers.
Overall, I would say the Majestic South Beach has a great location and potential, but the rooms and some of the hotel amenities could benefit from better maintenance, updating, and attention to detail. With some improvements, I think this could be a much better experience for guests.
