Overall it wa fine. Just the tub water control was hard to get the control of the water. It didn’t match and it was hard to get it the right temperature for my grandkids. Breakfast was not the greatest but edible

We stayed 5 nights at the Howard Johnson hotel in Evansville for the Fall Festival and to visit family. This hotel needed major renovations and updating. It felt like we were in a hotel from the 90s and no upgrades were ever done since then. However, the hotel staff were friendly. Special thanks to Ms. Peggy, one of the housekeeping staff, who exemplified amazing customer service. She was very so personable and hospitable. She made our stay more pleasant. We did encounter a bug during our stay and that was all she wrote. Though we had some positive experiences, that is not enough to return for next year’s stay. This hotel is only meant for a one night stay and not for an extended stay. We will be staying in another hotel in 2026. I hope Wyndham will make some major changes to improve the appearance of this hotel.

it's a little older but not a bad place to stay. clean enough. lots of food in the area that's walk able. Plenty of parking. Do not stay because they have breakfast. The breakfast is garbage. Coffee isn't bad though.

Conveniently located facility by the mall, but the breakfast was lacking in options and nutrition, and we had a roach crawling on us during the night. Little was offered as remedy other than some minimal Wyndham rewards points that likely will not be of benefit to us. The pool was a positive and useful feature, but pool towels were unavailable.

Checked into room 163. The shower knob looked like it was about to fall off went to front desk immediately to let them know. They quickly sent a maintenance man that put a brand new shower knob on. Then he tried to fix the vizo tv. It wouldn't work for some reason. At first front desk didn't want to move me bc said they were booked up (looking at parking lot we checked in late could tell they other rooms.) Another staff memeber that works there but was off had tried to help with tv remote as well. After 2 people wouldn't get it to work, got moved to 165. Not long after moving to 165 seen a bug on bed. When went back shortly after switching rooms a lady was working there now. She took picture and told me to wait. They offered to switch rooms. Honestly, wasn't sure if next room would be worse, we were tired been up since 5am and the whole ordeal took a while so our food was cold, and I don't want to be that person to complain. Was told staff would take a while to change sheets. I told them if gonna be a while give me gloves and all new sheets. I changed sheets myself with provided gloves. Staff did call to see everything was ok. I asked about a manager, will get email when check out. The bathroom sink didn't find out til much later on and was too tired to go to front desk it does not or is a slow drain. Breakfast area was very clean. No breakfast meats the day I went. Hopefully shower and checkout will have no issues.

The doors on each room, are very loud when they shut. You can hear each door close in the hall. And the bathroom was not clean very well. Overall it looked clean but i found a hair the shower and residue from previous soap in the shower. Plus side is that it is across from a mall and plenty of food options in the area.

There is a Bob Evans right next door which makes walking over for meals very easy. There are also many other restaurants within a 5 minute drive. Located directly across the street is a large mall with lots of food and shopping options. The bed was a bit soft but quite comfortable.

I didn’t like anything about this hotel . They gave a us a room that literally was dirty and disgusting ! My boyfriend actually checked us in &’ he walks in and he calls me &’ said idk about this . I have a bad gut feeling .. there was human pee on a little bench by the door. I was like okay we don’t have to sit on that we can remove it . But then when I get in the room I found a bedbug.. and I took a picture and took pictures of everything that was wrong . I pulled the sheets off the bed there was poop stain on the bed .. the bath tub was falling in . There was poop stains in the toilet.. the bedroom wasn’t even cleaned properly at all , and they didn’t even offer us a different room . Which even if they did I still wouldn’t have taken it because the place wasn’t clean at all not even the hallways, the manager was disrespectful and rude &’ I don’t even wanna talk about the staff at this please I highly don’t recommend anyone to stay here !

The room was bright and full of natural light. The staff was unfailingly pleasant and polite. My only complaint was that I was checking in just under 2 hours early, and I was charged $20. The room had obviously been cleaned, so I saw no reason for the charge, but I paid it to use the pool.
