The room was clean, big and comfortable. We had everything we needed. The hotel is a small distance from the city centre but there is a 20 min bus that runs every 30 minutes from early in the morning till just after midnight.

I booked this hotel for my best friends birthday and the experience we had was very negative. The hotel staff were very unfriendly and not helpful. Our keycard only worked once in the whole trip and would have to keep coming to the front desk to get the card reactivated but the staff would act like we were bothering them. After going to the 9th floor and the key not working on arrival, the house keeper let us in the room. However, once she opened the door she told us that the room only had one bed and that wasn’t right and we should have 2 separate beds, implying that we were lesbians and started sighing. This is shocking behavior and was not expected to be discriminated in this way. The room bed was not a queen bed like suggested in the booking but a double bed at best. The room was also dirty. The pool changing room had been moped and there was no signage that the floor was wet and was a hazard. A very bad experience and would not book again.

I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding my highly unsatisfactory stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Luxembourg on [Insert Date of Stay] (Reservation [Insert Reservation Number]). The stay fell significantly short of expected brand standards, presenting three serious failures: Safety and Allocation Failure: My critical pre-arrival request for two adjacent/adjoining Queen rooms for me and my children was ignored. The rooms were placed far apart, creating a major safety concern. Major Cleanliness Breach: Upon check-in, the bathroom toilet was found to be unclean and contained a visible spider. I possess photographic evidence of this unacceptable hygiene lapse. Operational Failure at Breakfast: The breakfast facility is grossly undersized for a 16-floor hotel. Due to extreme overcrowding, my family and I were forced to wait over 20 minutes for a table. As a result of these combined failures—particularly the safety and hygiene breaches—my stay was stressful and disappointing. I formally request an immediate review of my reservation and a commensurate form of compensation (full or partial refund) for the substandard service received. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution.

Hotel was clean , the hotel looks a little tired and could do with updating in certain areas the carpets in hallways and rooms looked well worn and not fresh. The rooms were fairly clean cobwebs in the bathroom and old food from previous guests in the fridge and the lounge chair was dirty and had large holes in the covers , Lots of chips on corners of furniture , windows was also stained on the inside of the double glazed unit obscuring the view. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. One thing that was annoying was no mention when booking there was no parking , only parking which was payable on arrival no mention of this . Overall not a bad place to stay but a little disappointed

Staff were very good, property a bit tired. Dining was very expensive and just average quality although dining and bar staff were very nice. Wouldn’t recommend eating here, very disappointing for the usual Double Tree standard we’ve experienced before.

I was charged for the room even though I had already paid through Hotels.com. I got it resolved eventually, it was disappointing to find that paying the hotel was £10 cheaper than what I had been charged!

Found the property a bit out of town although free bus services helpful the roin was comfortable, until I woke up to find i was covered in bed bug bites from the neck down spoke to reception they could not have been nicer and told me that my room would be complementary on my way to my next destination i got notification my card was debit the cost of room
