The common areas of this iconic hotel are wonderful but once you leave the lobby area it goes downhill. The elevators need lots of attention . Cleaning/ painting renovating ect. The hallways and trim around the doors is old, dirty. Trim and doors need to be replaced , patched and painted or both. Disappointing!

The location, all of the friendly people, the beach and the pool area, the restaurants, the comfortable beds, and the sunsets at the Don Cesar will have us coming back. We had a really great time. I recommend it!

Great Pool and wait staff outside. Clean ROOMs, smaller baths, 100 years old though. Beach is shelly and calm. Paddle board all morning
