Quiet hotel situated in a very peaceful environment. Check in was relatively fast and efficient. We were taken to our room by the receptionist. Our room was situated on the first floor and was well designed and decorated. After a long trip we had a quick swim at the swimming pool and enjoyed it. Coming back to the room we were intrigued by the way the towels were displayed in the bathroom and we thought well that is perhaps the way they do it. We had an excellent diner at the restaurant, each dish of the set menu was just great, the products and cooking methods were great. Service very good. we really enjoyed the evening and definitely recommend this restaurant for its quality of food and service. When we went back to the room, we opened our bed to discover that there was a left over tee-shirt and that the bed sheets and pillow cases were not changed, we then realized why the bathroom towels were not folded but just hanged. I went to the desk and the receptionist was very fast and efficient. He offered us another room but we didnt want to move at 11 pm. So he came with one of his colleague (a young chef) and did the bed and changed the linen. The next day, he advised us that the management had decided to offer our dinner dinner drinks complementary. The check out was very long with a wrong invoice with an extra night added (I had used a hotels reward coupon for a night) and 6 breakfasts. I had to email them my hotels.com invoice to prove the rate and the free night.

This hotel is serene and beautiful. The restaurant has incredible food that is a delight! We ate dinner both nights we stayed and felt it to be our best meals during our travels.

Otherwise our stay was fine except the large triple room which became a small twin room with beds pushed together was very tight. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food and service in the restaurant was very good. Unfortunately, the restaurant lacked atmosphere. It was so quiet, as well as hearing other peoples conversations we could also hear them crunching on their toast. We had to talk very quietly. We think that if they played some background music, it would make a big difference. Apart from that we really enjoyed our stay.

It is set in stunning grounds and a lovely looking building but the interior of the rooms is very very dated and in need if upgrade. It was like staying at an old relatives house. The bathrooms especially need modernising as no real shower , just an old handset in an old bath. General repair standard if the bathrooms is poor unfortunately. The room did its job but was horrendously overpriced for what you get for your money as a lovely setting will only get you so far.

Very unusual and unique inn located in an old manor house in Ouchamps, a small farm town. Well-located for visiting chateaux of Cheverny and Chambord. Interesting expansive grounds with inground heated pool (we did not have a chance to use but looked nice) and walking paths in the woods. OUTSTANDING creative dinner with many local ingredients located in the inn restaurant, as well as delicious buffet breakfast. The actual room was typical size for European standards with a very large bathroom. Pretty basic in terms of amenities, but clean. We did have kind of an odd, almost creepy feeling while we were there- I think it was due to the place being very empty with only a few other couples staying there. Nonetheless, we would recommend this as a unique experience for the Loire. The innkeeper was very helpful.

The staff is very helpful and polite, and gave us some great tips on the out-of-the-way places to see, well away from the usual "tourist traps". Dinner is a delight, the chef is excellent. Nice location. I was disappointed with the room as there was no air con and it was extremely hot in France. The bed looked as if it was from the 70's and not very comfortable ! Disappointing shower - Shower was a hand held mixer over the bath and no fixture to hold it in place, no shower curtain so water everywhere.
