Staypineapple, A Delightful Hotel, South End

WiFi connection was bad

I had a decent stay, had one issue that was quickly resolved.

The location is amazing, the hotel is clean, and the staff is nice. However, the noise was unbearable. I could literally hear everything happening in the neighboring rooms and housekeeping. Unless you're an early bird, I wouldn't recommend staying here. Also, housekeeping only cleans the room every other day, which I found surprising given the price. On top of that, don't expect complimentary bottled water to be replenished; you'll have to refill your own water, which made the experience feel below the standard I'd expect for a hotel in this price range.

I have stayed at many Staypinneapple hotels and this is the first time I have ever been told I'm restricted to the 2nd floor (lowest floor of rooms) instead of being allowed on a higher quieter floor because of my dog. I was told people might be allergic and children might be afraid of dogs as the reason we were restricted to the 2nd floor. I said I've never been told this before and Staypinneapple hotel is known for being dog friendly but my dog and I were not being treated as though it was. I was told being allowed to have my dog in my room was dog friendly. The supervisor was very rude to me and basically brushed me off and avoided me after our discussion about this (I had told him I requested a higher quiet floor and people with allergies/children should be fully aware this hotel is dog friendly before they book). I also asked for the manager's contact info and initially he didn't want to give it to me because he was the supervisor- to which I said no, the hotel manager. He finally acquiesced and gave me the manager's card. It wasn't until I was ready for bed (about 11pm) that I learned the night club on the first floor would proceed to play loud dance/club music until 1:30am which I could hear over my TV. I mentioned my exp to the person working the check-in counter the next day and requested a refund on my "hotel amenity fee" which he did take care of that day after speaking to his manager and was very polite about it. Additionally the shower leaked all night - drip drip drip. I normally love Staypinneapple because of their friendly staff, cozy beds, and dog friendly approach but I would not stay at this Boston location again based on this exp. Also there is no parking nearby, I paid for a garage about 8 min walk away. Luckily they have a hotel drop off zone for unloading/loading car. Location is fine, some walkable places nearby.
