Chalet Bergtraum

We had a very enjoyable stay at Chalet Bergtraum in Eischoll. The chalet offers a unique sense of peace and privacy, with breathtaking views over the valley and surrounding mountains. Sitting outside, listening to birdsong and the distant cowbells, really makes you feel immersed in nature. The chalet is well-equipped with almost everything you could think of, from kitchen utensils and baking equipment to fondue accessories, hiking poles, books about the local wildlife, and information about the region. It feels like staying in a real home rather than a standard holiday rental. Although some furnishings and equipment are dated, everything worked perfectly during our stay. The heating, windows, doors, plumbing, and appliances were all reliable and well maintained. The beds were comfortable, and we slept well throughout our stay. Communication with Sabrina was excellent. She responded quickly to our questions and was very helpful before and during our visit. Future visitors should also be aware that the chalet is in a very quiet and remote location. There is a supermarket in Eischoll, but other facilities are limited, so it is worth planning groceries and supplies in advance. On the other hand, this remoteness is exactly what makes the location so special. Overall, Chalet Bergtraum is a wonderful place for nature lovers seeking tranquility, privacy, and authentic mountain surroundings. We would happily return.

A few aspects could be improved. The living room seating was not particularly comfortable for relaxing in the evenings, as there is no proper sofa or comfortable armchair. The chalet is advertised for six guests, but we personally felt it was most comfortable for a smaller group. The access road may also be challenging for low-clearance vehicles. The grass between the wheel tracks was quite high, and some steep sections required careful driving, especially after rain. Guests with SUVs or higher vehicles will likely have an easier time.
