Firstly they write it’s a 10 min walk uphill but it’s actually an half an hour walk with steep climb. Secondly we booked for 4 days with them out of which 2 days there was no water supply at the property and they kept moving us from one room to another and it’s was just so annoying. Then we requested them to refund the money as the facilities that were promised were not given - they haven’t even refunded our money despite the shitty experience that we had with them

Drifters – Not as Advertised (Zero Stars) I booked four nights but checked out after just one. I’ve stayed in many places over the years, and this is the first time I’ve ever left early. Even though I paid nearly *** for the stay, it simply wasn’t worth the risk of remaining there. Horrendous Access The hotel advertises “150 steps” to reach the property, but in reality it’s closer to 1,000 steep steps through a mosquito-infested jungle. The trail is extremely steep with uneven footing, making it difficult and potentially dangerous. There is also a “road,” but it’s essentially unusable. Only the owner’s trail motorcycle appears capable of navigating the large boulders and rough terrain. No normal scooter or vehicle could safely attempt it. Facilities There is no restaurant onsite, so getting food requires making the difficult jungle climb again. Once you finally reach the bottom of the mountain, it’s another 800 meters along a busy road to reach the beach and even longer to get food. After just a few trips up and down, I ended up with so many mosquito bites that I was itching all night. The pool does have a nice view, but the pool liner is peeling and the pool is not usable. The Room The room has no air conditioning, and the water stopped working several times during my short stay. To enter the shower, you have to step over a meter-high partition, which is awkward and unsafe. Even more concerning, there are exposed electrical wires inside the shower powering the water heater. This is extremely dangerous—exposed high-voltage wiring in a wet area is a serious safety hazard and would not meet basic safety standards. Final Thoughts The manager is friendly and polite, but the lack of safe access and the non-functional facilities make the property essentially unlivable. I booked Drifters on Agoda after seeing the 9.1 rating and positive reviews, but based on my experience it’s hard to understand how that rating reflects the reality of the property. Travelers should be aware: the property is not as advertised. If access, safety, and basic facilities matter to you, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere to avoid the same mistake. ⚠️
