High Mount

Fabulous views, totally stunning from most of the rooms. Lots of space and really easy to park on the road outside the house which is rare for Dartmouth!

It is located up a very steep hill which isn’t good for those with mobility issues

Wir waren zu viert und das Haus war dafür absolut groß genug – besonders das Wohnzimmer hat uns gut gefallen, mit einer schönen Aussicht ins Tal Richtung Dartmouth. Auch der Küchen- und Essbereich war großzügig geschnitten, dort hätten locker sechs Personen Platz gefunden. Die Lage ist mit dem Auto sehr praktisch und man ist schnell überall – allerdings sind die Straßen extrem eng und das Parken ist ziemlich herausfordernd, vor allem wenn man es nicht gewohnt ist oder mit einem Mietauto unterwegs ist.

Die Kommunikation mit der Agentur war leider nicht gut. Die Anweisungen in den Nachrichten und im Hausbuch waren teilweise widersprüchlich oder unklar. Wir hatten einige Fragen und haben versucht, die Agentur über Booking, WhatsApp und sogar per Anruf zu erreichen – leider hat sich nie jemand zurückgemeldet, auch nicht im Nachhinein. Wir haben am Ende alles selbst herausgefunden, aber es war mühsam. Hier wäre ein Update der Informationen vor Ort und eine bessere Erreichbarkeit definitiv notwendig.

The house is lovely and cosy, well equipped, and well situated at the top of a hill very near to the town center.

the living rooms were very comfortable and just what we were looking for. Affordable stay for two couples during the Music festival.

There are a number of problems with the upstairs area as currently laid out. The restructed headroom applies to everyone, not just those over 5'11". On top of this, there were a number of faults: - a chair in the kitchen was broken and put back toghether to make it appear okay. I sat on it and it collapsed - that could have caused a serious injury. - a champagne flute was broken and placed in the cupboard to look okay. - the beside lamp in the double room upstairs did not fit the round-pin socket and could not be used. - the main light switch in that room did not work. - the instructions were unclear as to where to put recycling. We could not find the crates nor the black sack, only a white one, so we ended up taking our bottles etc home.
