Great for solo travelers. The location is very convenient—just a short walk from the station—and the surrounding area generally feels safe. For a smoother check-in experience, I recommend reading reviews here and on Google Maps in advance, as they contain helpful tips. Be sure to check your inbox on the day of arrival, as the property will send important instructions via email. The place looks exactly like the photos, and cleanliness is well maintained, especially in the shared spaces such as the bathrooms and pantry. The room is quite small, but it’s great to have a private space at an affordable price. For luggage storage, I used a nearby karaoke establishment that offers this service (you can search via Ecbo Cloak or Bounce), which was very convenient. There are also plenty of nearby restaurants, convenience stores, and supermarkets, including one inside the station. The only downside is that some entertainment venues are located on the lower floors of the building. I did have one slightly uncomfortable moment sharing the elevator with a heavily intoxicated guest from that floor, but it only happened once and didn’t cause any real issue. Overall, it’s still a solid and practical choice for solo travelers.

Decent area. Comfy bed (a rarity in Japan), strong AC, good showers. However, the lock for my door was simply for show. It could be opened at any time. A combination lock where the combination is broken. And otherwise, the inside lock is just a bathroom lock; so anyone with a flat head screwdriver would be able to unlock it too. So, not exactly a safe place to be. Yes, people would need the electronic number to get onto the floor itself..but it's easy to slip in/out when someone else is using that door. Or if you remembered the code and come back later. It's one of those floors of apartments being leased out like a hotel, so, no one is actually working there. I was contacting someone over email to at least fix the combination lock or move me to another room, but nothing ever became of it. Nor would it change the fact that the basic locks are still bathroom locks, not secure. The whole place has an air of someone fitting all the locks/knobs themselves. Other trimmings too. I'm sure it saved a lot of money, but it's lacking the upkeep to make up for that. See photos for more details. Koiwa is a pretty quiet area, not much there other than little bars and restaurants. If you need to stay in the area for whatever reason and aren't a single female, I'm sure it's a fine stay for the right price.

Very suitable for solo travellers. Better than capsule hotel. Safe, clean, and located near the station. With coin laundry and kitchenette. Highly recommended!

My check in time is from 4:00pm to 11:00pm, I came in the hotel around 5:00pm but no staff in the hotel luckily someone helped me whose staying also in the same hotel but unfortunately he was asking me about my room number that should be sent via email but only the booking number was sent from the hotel.. The hotel is good and clean but i think no enough information on how to check in if it is self service since there’s no staff available, it is hard for a traveler to enter since the door need a fingerprint and code to open..
