Seafarers Horizon oceanfront retreat

The location was spot on with an amazing view from the first level. The house is well furnished & accommodated 6 adults perfectly.

The outside of the house where you park doesn’t do the house justice. This is not a negative as the house is great.

Great open plan 2 storey house, providing more than enough space for our family. All the facilities of a fully functioning home. Views of the beach were the icing on the cake, tea trees covered break near beach. Overall we had a relaxing stay.

It's not listed anywhere that there's two flights of stairs to get up to front door. This is fine for the average person, but for my elderly mother with bad back and hip and myself with a few replacement joints, makes it a bit of a choir. The stairs are well built and nicely spaced, perfect for able bodied. 4 mins to walking track near beach, then another 4 at least for all the stairs to the beach. Over the 5 days my brother and I went once. Queenscliff beach is basically street level, no stairs. I don't know how hot the house would get in summer, but without blinds in main lounge and a few ceiling fans you may be forced down the beach to cool off. The ground floor bedrooms also desperately need ceiling fans, you would think April would be cool enough but there's simply no air flow if you close the door and it soon becomes pretty warm. Couches in main lounge have seen their day, still clean and look nice, I think it's springs have sprung. They'll literally swallow you. I've finished my rant, these are easy fixes for owner if they want to take on board what I've mentioned so they can provide a 10/10 stay for future holiday makers.
