Apartamento Deluxe Sotogrande

Close to the beach and marina. Beds were comfortable and towels were provided. Plenty of hot water with good shower pressure. Lots of storage cupboards. Lovely outdoor balcony overlooking the evening bussle around restaurants in the square, with palm trees, a fountain and glimpse of the marina. Clean and tidy. Great location otherwise.

We notified the property soon after booking, that we would be arriving late (10pm) and they told us it would be no problem. Close to our arrival, once the free cancellation period had passed and the monies were all paid, we were told that an additional 40€ was required for this later arrival. This info was not included in any part of the details on Booking.com. Be prepared for the unexpected fee. The instructions to find the property were completely inadequate and impossible for our local driver to find. The driver spoke to the welcoming host on our mobile but this was not at all helpful. We were dropped by the driver at a location he thougbt would be close by. It was late at night, dark, and we had a very young baby with us. Luckily the host came outside to look for us and we saw her across a square. It would be helpful to use a pin on Google maps to help people find the apartment. The 2 sets of keys were tempramental and you had to get the feel for the lock. Not at all easy with a baby in one arm. No tea cloths or cafetierè but otherwise well equipped. Though not awful, the apartment often smelt of fried food from the restaurant below. It was coming in through the extractor/ air-conditioning vents. Could be helpful to leave some water, milk and bread since there is no supermarket/ grocery store for quite a distance (by car) You will need an uber for about 10€ each way. We arrived late and had to go to a restaurant and beg for a small amount of milk and bottled water for the baby. It would help to include information in the guest folder on where local convenience/ grocery/ pharmacy stores are.
