Access to the loft is via a cast-iron staircase, designed by a renowned 19th-century architect from Palermo, which leads to the vast terrace (300 square meters) after passing through the complex’s private courtyard, which opens onto the public street, very close to the sea and the new Marina Yachting.
Palazzo Cancilla is located just a few minutes’ walk from the historic center to the east, and in the opposite direction (to the west), it is very close to the 19th- and 20th-century city center.
It is outside the restricted traffic zone, so you can drive your own car to the loft and park for free in front of the entrance to Palazzo Cancilla. In exceptional cases, if available, you can use the parking space in the large central courtyard for an additional fee.The Cancilla Factory, which exported throughout Italy and at one point employed up to 150 workers, primarily processed and preserved tuna caught in the company’s own tuna trap, located on the northern coast of Sicily, and produced canned foods (especially tomatoes).
The LOFT consists of an open-concept space featuring: the living area, a study nook, the dining area, and a beautiful open kitchen, fully equipped (oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, induction cooktop, sink, and kitchenware such as dishes and pots and pans, the kitchen was custom-designed exclusively for the loft; the washing machine is located in a separate, covered area outside the house to minimize noise). Separately, there is a master bedroom (which can be converted into a twin-bed room) and a full bathroom with a shower, sink, toilet, bidet, and its own window. All windows are equipped with mosquito screens. Those in the bedroom also have wooden shutters. The outdoor area is furnished with an iron and majolica table with chairs, umbrellas,
a sofa, and deck chairs.The apartment is the ideal place to comfortably explore Palermo on foot and return to this peaceful retreat away from the dark and noisy alleys of the city center storico.Vi.
