Welcome to your perfect Maine getaway! Newly renovated from top to bottom, this beautifully updated, dog-friendly home combines modern comfort with the peaceful charm of lakeside living. Nestled on a quiet private lane, with an expansive meadow, and graceful willow trees, creating the perfect setting for a relaxing vacation.
The fully insulated home has been thoughtfully redesigned with comfort in mind. Upstairs, you'll find a spacious primary suite featuring a king-size bed, split-unit heating and air conditioning, a walk-in closet with laundry, and a private en-suite bathroom with double sinks and a walk-in shower. A sliding glass door leads directly to the newly renovated upper deck, where you can enjoy your morning coffee while taking in quiet beauty.
Also upstairs is a comfortable guest bedroom with a double bed and baseboard heat, a cozy study with a twin Murphy bed for additional sleeping space, and a second full bathroom with a shower.
The main level features a bright, open-concept living space that is perfect for gathering with family and friends. The fully equipped kitchen boasts elegant quartz countertops, a butcher block island, and everything needed to prepare meals during your stay. The dining and living areas are kept comfortable year-round with a split-unit heating and cooling system. Large triple-glazed windows and sliding glass doors fill the home with natural light while showcasing spectacular views in every direction. A convenient half bath and spacious walk-in coat closet complete the first floor.
Outside, enjoy the home's brand-new board-and-batten exterior and nearly one acre of open front lawn—perfect for children, lawn games, and four-legged family members to roam. The quiet private lane is ideal for biking, walking, and enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
Guests will also love the detached rustic bunkhouse, which remains as shown in the current photos. Equipped with electricity (but no plumbing or heating/air conditioning), it's the perfect bonus space for board games, puzzles, reading, or an afternoon nap after a day on the lake.
Just a five-minute walk down the lane brings you to the brand-new shared lakeside dock, where you can swim, kayak, canoe, or fish for a day on beautiful Damariscotta Lake.
Please Note: The dock is shared with one neighboring property. Guests may use vehicles to unload and load watercraft but may not leave vehicles parked at the dock. Please return vehicles to the property and follow all posted dock and house rules.

The Willows is in a great location near Damariscotta Lake State Park and centrally located to explore mid-coast Maine. The inside was clean and the furniture and beds were nice. The deck was nice and you can see the lake between the trees. The kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, and all dishes that you will need. The living area is like an apartment above a garage that is not insulated and this means we struggled to cool it down and keep it cool even with ceiling fans. There is an AC unit, but being upstairs and above an uninsulated space it just cannot keep up. We only found one small window fan to use in place of the AC. You have to pick up and drop off the keys to the unit about 20-25 minutes away. This was a first for us, as usually there is a lock box or the owner/caretaker unlocks the unit prior to arrival. We also had to haul our Tuesday -Saturday trash out and to a local dump. There was a trash pickup Tuesday morning. The workers at the dump were pleasant, but we were asked repeatedly where we were from and if we had a sticker allowing us to dump our trash (we did not, but were allowed to leave our trash.) I’ve only ever had to pack out trash when camping and was not aware that this would be our responsibility prior to booking. The host was responsive with one issue that we had. We had a difficult time figuring out the lake access from the apartment. Overall, it was basic, but nicely furnished and gave us a central point for our explorations and adventures.
