Maison Dans la Pinède à Lacanau Ocean

We stayed in a semi-detached house with three bedrooms, quietly located in a pine forest near a hotel. There's enough space between the houses for children to play and to enjoy privacy. The southern beach is a 10-minute drive or a 45-minute walk. Nearby are a treetop climbing park, a bike rental, and a pool that can be used free of charge.The surroundings were clean and peaceful. We had kind neighbors who let us use their hammock. Despite the forest location, we had no issues with insects – no mosquitoes or wasps.Some details inside the house didn’t fully match the online description. The beds looked different, and bedrooms had only one small lamp each. One room had a boiler in the wardrobe, which caused a dripping sound at night. Another had no wardrobe, only two rails. No spare bedding or towels were provided, but what was there was clean and sufficient for our stay.There are two bathrooms – one with a shower, one with a bathtub (without a curtain). The kitchen was clean and basically equipped – enough to prepare simple meals over the week.Lacanau-Océan is a wonderful place for families, and the location of the house is ideal for exploring the area. Unfortunately, the washing machine wasn’t working, and there was some misunderstanding with the owner about this at the end of our stay – which we found regrettable after an otherwise enjoyable holiday.
