Unbeatable location if catching the slow boat is your primary goal. Not too far from the Thai-Laos border, easy to pay for a shuttle in baht. Wonderful lady at reception (unsure if she was the owner?), made us feel so welcomed and explained the nearby attractions and restaurants. I left a necklace and a bracelets in our room when we checked out, and knowing which slow boat company picked us up, she managed to get them across to me just minutes later while I was sitting on the boat, even before I realised they were missing!

The guesthouse is clean and comfy. The host was very kind and helpful.
It’s a little far from the towns “centre” (as far as there is one). It is close to the slow boat but you have to walk 15 min to the restaurants etc.

The redeeming feature of the hotel is its proximity to the slow boat pier. It is an extremely basic hotel - a bed and a shower. Do not expect anything more.
