Hauane Bed and Breakfast

The B&B is in a fantastic location on the Lysefjord, just above the tiny village of Lyse. It's a collection of small buildings typical of rural Norwegian areas, and the interiors are new and meticulously maintained. Even the relaxation areas are unique and themed around local activities. Although the room size is stated to be small compared to hotel rooms, there's no sense of cramped accommodation, thanks in part to the large window that lets plenty of light into the entire room. The bathroom is very large, new, functional, and spotlessly clean, with resin surfaces and colors that reflect the natural surroundings. The management is particularly friendly and professional. It's quite expensive, even by Norwegian standards, but it's the only outpost in the area with an ensuite bathroom, breakfast, etc., to catch the ferry across the fjord. For dinner, you can find something edible 2.2km downstream (until around 8:00 PM), and it's a lovely walk, weather permitting.

This is an authenic Norway's site where the family really live with his customs. In the countryside near by the Fjord and very closed to Kierag hiking. Extremely, generous, kind and warm welcome by the owners and by the staff. My room was on the ground floor with garden view. It was large and with a huge new bathroom with a great shower. The garden is very well arranged to relax in every corner. Breakfast was very rich and tasty. There are different buildings where you can sit and ejoy your stay. There is a kitchen and a fridge which can be used for all guests. Full of flowers and green. Near by different hikings in the valley and in the mountain. For sure, the best place where I stayed in Norway. Highly recommended.

The staff - The Spanish sisters, very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. I he really take time to prepare my vegan breakfast. The location - 15 minutes below the KJERAG Parking after an exhausting Kjeragbotn hiking. The cleanness of the room - new

Lack of coat hangers Shower can be made of fixed doors, rather than openable both doors , which had some leaking water after a shower

The location and staff were excellent

The shared bathroom was outside in another building which was not ideal for through the night - also the rooms were rustic and and clean but a little dated - although beds were clean and comfy - the main house had a number of guests and you could hear through walls, when people opened doors and the stairs creaked so i didn’t get much sleep. also there were no locks on doors which was ok but a lock would have been nice
