Karam Siwa Camp

Very nice camp, beautiful view from the pool, breakfast was great. The hosts are very kind and Karam drove us around to show us the highlights of Siwa for an additional fee, which was very helpful

There is very low connection there and no wifi available, which is very okay for a off-connection stay, but can make it a bit difficult to reach out to the hosts when they’re not around. We had difficulties to communicate, better if you speak a few words of arabic.

El campamento Karam es un lugar excepcional para disfrutar del desierto y de la naturaleza. Con amplios espacios para relajarse y respirar aire fresco y disfrutar de su piscina. Este campamento tiene un ambiente muy agradable, con la amable atención y disposición del señor Karam, incluso para transportarte a los sitios más emblemáticos del oasis. La ubicación del campamento está un poco retirada del centro de la población, aunque se puede caminar a la avenida principal, aún así se requiere de un medio de transporte para llegar al centro o a la estación de autobuses.

If you are looking for a place to rest, recharge your energy, and connect with the Sahara, you’ve found it! Karam Camp Siwa is a very safe place, built in the desert. You can reach it in just 20 minutes by TukTuk. The room was clean, and the shower had hot water. The food, prepared by Chef Ahmed, was delicious. Although the camp offers services like desert tours with horses and cars, I didn’t need them because the campsite is located among the most beautiful dunes of the oasis. By walking for just 30 minutes, I was able to explore the lakes and dunes, reaching the highest dune in the region—an amazing spot for sandboarding and capturing breathtaking sunset photos. Beyond all this, the best part was the hospitality of the host, Karam. He is an incredibly honest and friendly person. During my stay, I truly connected with the desert life and its vast beauty. On top of that, my wife and I made wonderful friends here.

This was honestly the best accommodation experience I’ve ever had. A huge shoutout to our shuttle driver, Omar, and everyone working there. The rooms were super clean, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Waking up to that amazing view during breakfast was simply unforgettable. If you visit Siwaya and stay here, you’re in for a truly exceptional travel experience ✌️
