About this house rental
Casa do Mestrinho is a licensed vacation home, located by the Douro river, next to a huge river beach, in a location served by a cycle path and pedestrian route that connects the town of Avintes to the cities of Vila Nova de Gaia and Porto.
Thanks to its location, the house is a good starting point for exploring the city of Porto (9km), the beaches and natural parks of Vila Nova de Gaia and the beautiful towns, villages, mountains and natural parks of northern Portugal. Ideal for visiting the city but sleeping in a quiet place (we recommend that you bring a car/bicycle)
The house has three floors: on the lower floor is the kitchen, on the middle floor is a bedroom, bathroom and living room. Upstairs you'll find a large bedroom.
The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare your meals.
(Warning: renting the house does not include access to the garden)
Casa do Mestrinho" is 5 minutes from the highways. It's the perfect place to explore the city and recharge your batteries!
It's a house for those who value living in harmony with the cultural and natural heritage of a place. With it, we want to contribute to the enhancement and revitalization of this historic site. The place of Espinhaço and the village of Avintes have for centuries been associated with the exploitation of the Douro River, agricultural activities and the supply of food to the city of Porto. Being close to the river Douro and a large ecological park (Parque Biológico de Gaia) allows for beautiful walks and contact with nature.
20 meters down the road, you'll find Areinho de Avintes, a vast river beach with lifeguards, enclosed bathing areas, a picnic area and a cycle path for cycling, running or walking.
In renovating the house - much of which we did ourselves - we tried to maintain the originality of the 19th century building as much as possible.
The tourist tax will be charged at check-in by the Host.
