About this house rental
This cozy cottage is located on the shore of Lake Säljen. Here you can experience the best of the Småland countryside in a wonderfully rustic environment. The cottage is a carefully renovated log cabin, which provides a wonderfully cozy atmosphere in front of the fireplace. In the surrounding nature you can enjoy fishing, hiking and cycling in the forest with the possibility of mushroom - and berry picking during late summer. Just a stone's throw from the house is the lake with a cozy swimming area, barbecue area and boat dock where a boat is included when you rent the cottage. The ground floor of the house consists mainly of a large living room with a cozy sofa group, dining table with space for shared moments around the table and the crackling of the stove provides comfortable warmth during the colder days. The kitchen with all the possibilities for self-catering is located one step up and also has a dining table with chairs. A separate toilet with very easy handling, instructions are on site, is located together with a washbasin. The shower room can be found in a separate room right next door. Upstairs, up a slightly steep staircase, are 2 single beds. In the room inside there is a double bed for 2 more people to sleep in. There is plenty of floor space here, but the sloping roof limits the ceiling height. On the beautiful veranda you can enjoy a cup of coffee with a view of the lake. Outdoor furniture is also available for eating meals or relaxing outdoors. The cottage is located on a slope down to the lake with a low-traffic country road in between. The owners, who live right next door, run the company Fyrhjulingsupplevelser and can offer quad biking for an extra cost. They organize events, adventure safaris and various group activities. Only 10 minutes' drive south is Åseda with grocery stores, a service station and restaurants. A preserved narrow gauge railway through Åseda offers you to cycle the trolley and ride the nostalgia train during the summer season. Within about 1 hour's drive you can visit the glassworks, the wooden town of Eksjö and the fantastic Astrid Lindgren's World.
