About this house rental
Lake house that feels remote but is close to everything. Located off a main highway in Hickory, our house is close to downtown shopping and restaurants, the Crawdad's stadium and Hickory City Park. Have a front row seat to watch the Crawdad's fireworks shows from our yard!! Hickory City Park has public tennis courts, a playground, mountain bike trails and a beautiful paved walking path that now goes all the way to the water's edge. The house is 45 minutes from Blowing Rock and 1 hour from Boone. It is also within a 1 hour drive to South Mountain State Park - full of beautiful hiking trails, picnic sites and waterfalls. Charlotte International Airport is an hour from the house, so it is convenient for those flying in from out of town. It is also located directly across the lake from the Hickory airport, it is less than 10 minutes away by car. We recently replaced the deck that overlooks the lake and added a stone patio. We have 3 adult kayaks and 1 children's kayak that are available for your use (several life jackets available). We have a corn hole set. You will enter the house through the sunroom, which has places to sit and look at the lake. The kitchen, dining room and living room are all open and connected. The kitchen has a new dishwasher, refrigerator and microwave. We have both a regular drip and Keurig coffee maker. There is a smart TV with Roku in the living room. We have a large master bedroom with an attached master bath on one side of the house. Master bedroom has a king size bed. The other side of the house has the other 3 bedrooms and two additional bathrooms. The second bedroom has a queen size bed. The third bedroom has a full size bed. The fourth bedroom has two twin beds. We have a pack and play for your use, if needed. Please bring your own sheet for this if needed.

Wonderful communication with host to arrange somewhat complicated rental needs due to family relocation to Hickory. House very comfortable and inviting to 4 adults and 3 children with perfect layout of bedrooms and bathrooms. Lakefront location incredible to capture early morning mist on the water, sun rises and bird life throughout the day.

Great value in an amazing location. The house had plenty of beds and baths for everyone! We loved the yard and lake access. Our family had an amazing trip and we will definitely be back. Hickory is a hidden gem!!
