The apartment must be in the best location in Portoferraio. Wake up, shutters and doors open and watch the world go by from the balcony. Soak up the sunshine and the most perfect spot for a sundowner. Every time you look out, there’s something different to see with locals fishing, boats, superyachts coming and going. Step out and you’re in a stone flagged piazza with bars, restaurants and shops or walk to the beach and swim in turquoise water. We stayed for a week and loved every minute of it. It’s not the usual bland, hotel style decor. It’s traditional, classic Italian which is totally in keeping with the style of the beautiful old building. Just wonderful and the company who look after the property are lovely to deal with- great communication and extremely helpful.
