Stayed in a lot better for a lot less money

The hosts sorted the issues we had quickly and efficiently. The location is very peaceful and the site well maintained.. Plenty of hot water and really good shower. The bed was very comfortable and we had an amazing restful sleep. Washing machine good touch. Internet was really good for such a remote location. Good cooking facilities and utensils.

Hot tub does not make a place luxury. No where to hang coats, put muddy shoes being as the selling point of the property is outdoor life style and country walks. No towel rail in bathroom or anywhere to hang clothes. We found the property cold even when the hosts were contacted and the heating temp increased remotely. BBQ way to big for a maximum 4 person lodge. No soap or dispenser in bathroom. Wardrobe space would not be sufficient for 4 people and no hanging space for anything longer than a jumper. Be prepared to drive everywhere only one pub in walking distance.

The surroundings the property in general.

The musty smell in the property coming from the sofa. It had a blue stain on it. also possibly from the door mat. This made the sleeping on the sofa not a relaxing experience

Lovely lodge, with modern facilities, very comfortable bed. Hot tub was excellent and well maintained.

Nothing. Just make sure you take extra toilet rolls, as only 1 supplied for your stay and take hand soap , as this is not supplied.

A proper hideaway retreat.

A fantastic little get away spot especially if visiting Alton Towers. Coming back to the hot tub after a full day on your feet is a little slice of heaven. Bed in the bedroom is very comfortable. The kitchen comes full of all crockery and utensils you could need.

The only downside was the sofa bed mattress which was not very comfortable for the children travelling with us. But this certainly wouldn't put us off coming back to the site.

During my stay, I experienced extremely poor treatment by the host, including being denied basic assistance and being spoken to in a rude and disrespectful way. The sofa bed was not made as promised, and we were unable to rest until after 10:10 PM because we had to wait for information about the location of the bedding. The host interrupted me repeatedly, spoke in a mocking tone, and eventually refused to take my calls. I felt deeply disrespected — not only because of the service failure, but because of how I was treated as a non-local guest. I have already filed a police report regarding this matter and what I believe to be discriminatory treatment.

Perfect location, lovely lodge.

The place was vastly clean and very well presented. Maintenance of the hot tub was very good. The locale was perfect and very peaceful.

Nothing really, though sofa bed hadn't been properly cleaned as found some things but wasn't difficult to clean away ourselves and the lodge was a little snug for 3 people.

Perfect lodge surrounded by nature

We had the best stay here, I highly recommend! The lodge was absolutely SPOTLESS upon arrival. Everything looked brand new and clean. The kitchen was stocked with all the cooking utensils, pots and pans that we needed - which were all really good quality. The washer/dryer was really useful after muddy walks in the Peaks. The hot tub was the perfect temperature and easy to use and a lovely place to relax tired legs after a day of walking. Bed was huge and comfortable, we both slept like babies. And the shower was always hot with good water pressure. We loved waking up to the bird song in the forest and the calm feeling of being surrounded by nature. Would come back and am recommending to all my friends.

Literally the only thing that could improve is a towel rail in the bathroom to hang towels on.

Cosy lodge in the woods

Cosy lodge in the woods. Me & my little girl stayed for 1 night, we loved it. Wish I’d have planned a longer stay. Great base for days out too. The lodge was spotless, big comfy bed, the hot hub was brilliant. Underfloor heating was lovely, great shower, great kitchen facilities - it had everything you could possibly need.
