Padley; woodland lodge with hot tub for 2-4 in the Staffordshire Moorlands

Location and decor

Needed hooks in the SHOWER ROOM as nowhere to hang towels or clothes. Needed a dog lead hook outside as dogs need to be on leads but like to be outside.

Location was exactly right, it was as described and easy to access. The parking was very good too. The big bed was lovely. Everything was clean, and we had everything we needed for a self catering holiday. Hot tub was lovely on the first night but cold on the second

Sofa bed was awfully uncomfortable. The hot tub was cold the second night. The floor was dirty.

Great location and great cabin. Felt clean and well equipped. Really quiet and felt like you were away from everything but still within a short driving distance to towns, restaurants and pubs.

Isn't necessarily something we didn't like, but could do with somewhere to hang towels up in the bathroom and the heating was a little hard to control was quite warm overnight.

The hosts sorted the issues we had quickly and efficiently. The location is very peaceful and the site well maintained.. Plenty of hot water and really good shower. The bed was very comfortable and we had an amazing restful sleep. Washing machine good touch. Internet was really good for such a remote location. Good cooking facilities and utensils.

Hot tub does not make a place luxury. No where to hang coats, put muddy shoes being as the selling point of the property is outdoor life style and country walks. No towel rail in bathroom or anywhere to hang clothes. We found the property cold even when the hosts were contacted and the heating temp increased remotely. BBQ way to big for a maximum 4 person lodge. No soap or dispenser in bathroom. Wardrobe space would not be sufficient for 4 people and no hanging space for anything longer than a jumper. Be prepared to drive everywhere only one pub in walking distance.
