Not being allowed to wear shoes at all, I understand on carpet but downstairs on the hard floor makes no sense when coming in and put of the house. Perhaps change the rule to no shoes on carpets.
Curtains were too light, blackout would be better

Our family spent 3 nights here, house was fantastic in a lovely quiet residential road. We had a great weekend - the house was spotless, comfortable and very spacious even with 7 people staying. Kids loved how the living area opened out into the garden and spent the first evening watching the deer on the golf course behind the house. The owner was very proactive with details and answered all queries. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone.
Not really a complaint but the hot water can get very hot in the kitchen taps.
