Ticina apartment

Our stay was incredible. The accommodation is tucked away on a hill in a gated community. The owners were extremely hospitable and went the extra mile making the place feel like a home. They were kind to let us use their washing machine and facilities and even brought over extra towels while checking regularly if we had everything we needed. The apartment is extremely comfortable and spacious, nice and cold allowing for a comfortable sleep and a welcome retreat from the sun. The kitchen comes with everything you need to cook meals and even has coffee, tea, spices that you can use. A short walk away is a supermarket (Amko) with a good assortiment of groceries. We had a lovely stay and highly recommend it!

Sarajevo is located in a valley so lots of homes are up on the hillside. To walk back up takes 15 to 20 minutes which wasn't a problem for us, we actually enjoyed it. However if you have mobility problems, you can rent a car or take a cheap taxi up. Not really an issue but good to know. On the plus side, you get wonderful views of the valley.

L'appartamento aveva tutto l'occorrente. I padroni erano gentili e disponibili.

È molto lontano dal centro a piedi anche perché si trova in una forte salita a volte con delle buche o senza marciapiede e senza asfaltare. Ci vuole più di mezz'ora per salirci. I taxi volevano 25 euro per portarci lì. Era scocciante. L'acqua della doccia andava giù troppo lentamente ed era allo stesso livello del resto del pavimento per cui si allagava assolutamente tutto il bagno e ci metteva tanto a svuotare. La doccia aveva muffa. La finestra del salotto-cucina dà a un muro alto di cemento. E l'accesso alla casa è tramite delle scale in cemento senza ringhiera (abbastanza gradini) che con le valigie erano pericolosi.
