About this house rental
Your “Piece of Cape” vacation planning starts here! Look no further for your private summer getaway in beautiful Harwich near popular beaches, bike path, trails, tennis & more.
Our 2100 sqft home sits in a 1-acre lot, abounds in privacy, and is located within a 5-minute drive to the beautiful Bank Street and Red River beaches. If sand is not your thing, stay in and enjoy the private heated pool in an idyllic secluded backyard.
The space
- Hardwood floors greet you as you step inside an open concept two-story living room, open to the upper floor
- Inviting space with two sizable living rooms and ample seating for families, or multiple families
- First floor has a full bath and 2 bedrooms (queen and king + twin day bed with trundle)
- Second floor has a large bedroom with attached full bath (king + twin day bed with trundle)
- Every room has fresh linens, bath towels and pillows and lots of closet space
- Desk + chair setup in two bedrooms makes it perfect for remote work
Pool: Open Memorial Day to mid-October
- The pool can be closed off with gates for safety around small children.
- Please keep pool safety in mind whenever children are nearby.
- Outdoor shower in the pool area
- We will ask you to sign a waiver to use the pool
- Pool is heated from 9 am - 6 pm (Can be adjusted if needed)
- Additional Pool Heating fees may apply in shoulder season (May, September, October- contact us if booking in those months)

- Keyless entry, arrive at your convenience and enter with your personal code
- Upstairs living room has an oversized sectional and a 70 inch smart TV, perfect for cozy family movie nights.
- Second floor bedroom has a 50 inch smart TV, downstairs bedroom has a 55 inch smart TV
- Kitchen is fully stocked for any cooking needs: plenty of pots and pans, glassware and dinnerware (adult and child-friendly), microwave, toaster, blender, electric kettle, French press and drip coffee maker
- Outdoor propane grill and Solo Stove fire pit for alfresco dining and cool summer nights
- Strong WiFi with Nest mesh network- great for streaming Netflix and Zoom calls
- AC units in all bedrooms and living room

Our cleaning process:
- A thorough and attentive top-to-bottom cleaning of the entire home including dusting, full sanitation, vacuuming, mopping and polishing
- Fresh linens and towels (bed sheets, duvet covers, towels, and bath mats) before you arrive
- We use green products to ensure safety for children, and sustainability for the environment
Some house rules:
- Parties/events are not allowed on this property
- No pets (owners have severe allergies)
- No loud music outdoors after 8 pm (please respect the neighbors)
- Primary renter must 25+ and on premise for the rental duration
- Late checkout is not possible
- There are cameras monitoring the entrances for security reasons
Nearby attractions:
- Bank street beach is 1.5 miles, a short 4 minute drive. Red River Beach is 2.5 miles and Pleasant Road Beach is 3 miles away
- Rail Trail bike path is 0.2 miles away with a paved path that goes all the way to Provincetown!
- Brooks Park is 0.3 miles away and has a playground, tennis courts, Pickleball courts, basketball courts, soccer field, Bocce Ball, etc.
- Brooks Free Library is a 10 minute walk to Harwich’s historic center
- Main Street Harwich Port is 1.5 miles away and has lots of quaint shops and restaurants both for adults and families, delicious home-made ice cream at Sundae School, a great $1 Oyster Happy Hour and outdoor bar at The Port, good spots to go for quick coffee and breakfast, or grab a sandwich to hit the beach only blocks away.
- Cruise lines are less than 2 miles away in Harwich Port for a day trip to Nantucket or private excursions!
- Less than 2 miles to two golf courses
- Neighboring town of Chatham offers additional attractions, restaurants and beautiful beaches, as do the nearby towns Brewster, Orleans, and Dennis, all within 15 mins drive or short bike ride

- Pool is heated and only open between Memorial Day and Mid October

Lovely house and yard. Pool is a big plus. Great service from owners. Excellent location walking distance to Cape Rail trail.

We stayed here with family for 6 days in July and the place was definitely a good pick, but had some let downs. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here with its great location to restaurants/bars, large pool, spacious home, and a great outdoor space for eating/entertaining.
Downfalls included:
Pool heater broken for 4 of the 6 days
Was told house had AC in all main living areas (but 1st floor living room/kitchen did not have anything)
Outdoor lights didn’t work first night until we troubleshooted ourselves how to fix
Fridge was at 60 degrees when we arrived and took a day to get cold again (had to store all food in coolers)
Host was very responsive to our concerns, but things did not get fixed quickly (pool the biggest concern!) They did provide some $$ off, but still frustrating as our baby didn’t want to be in pool when it was too cold.
You can tell the owners are very hands off. If you’re there for the cape vibes and don’t care much about what was listed above, this may be a good spot for you!

We absolutely loved our time here. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The grounds were beautiful, private and peaceful and we spent hours out in the heated pool. Definitely a highlight of the property and made our trip so much more enjoyable. This was our first time staying in Harwich and we loved the area. Super close to beaches and a cute main town with shops and many impressive restaurants. The hosts are very informative and responsive and even left us a sweet treat from the local bakery when we first arrived. Definitely recommend staying here! Thank you for a great trip!
