A-Frame lake house on West Point w/ private dock

Close enough to the water to feel the calm, far enough from town to truly unplug, but not so far that you feel off the grid. It’s that sweet spot where nature does the talking and the stress just packs up and leaves.Every room has its own personality — you can tell this place was put together with heart, not just furniture. And the basement? That’s where legends are made. Ping pong battles, karaoke concerts that should probably never see daylight, and the kind of laughs that make your stomach hurt. We’ve made this our home base for three years running now, and it never disappoints. It’s become part of our tradition — good people, good times, and that peaceful Alabama backdrop that reminds you what slowing down is supposed to feel like.If you’re looking for a place to connect, reset, and make memories that stick — this is it.We don’t just love this place… we’re already looking forward to the next stay.

Felt like a second home. Was the perfect place to gather and not be all on top of each other. There are so many separate spaces that accommodated ages 8-66! Every square inch of this beautiful A Frame was carefully crafted. I loved all the decor—especially the West Point theme in the main floor bedroom. There were great books on the shelves and like a million DVDs. The kitchen was stocked with everything you can think of. A great coffee station which included a bean grinder, high end coffee maker, pour over carafe and a gorgeous gooseneck hot water kettle. The dishes, glasses and serving ware were all very nice and plentiful. We were all there to attend a family wedding in Roanoke—packing into a hotel would have been dreadful and likely cost the same or even more. Truly grateful for such a wonderful place. Communication with Chris was next level. This is THE place to stay.

The home is beautiful and spacious. There were 5 adults in our party and everyone was comfortable. The host was attentive and gracious. We greatly enjoyed our weeklong stay. This location is highly recommended.

The property inside and out was very nice. Clean had everything you needed in place. I would only suggest that you have a covering on the dock and a golf cart for access for the house, to get to the dock for the older people who wants to fish while on the property. This house was the perfect set up I would come back again.
