Sol y Playa

We liked: - the partial sea view from the apartment—you can see the sea and waves pounding on a cliff. - the cleanliness of the place. - the overall quietness, as there were no other residents in the building (due to the town closure). There is a bakery downstairs, which was still closed, but it might be a bit noisy once it reopens. - well equipped kitchen, washmachine, iron, coffee maker etc. - good parking around (a big spot in front of the house, which is kind of a parking lot). - responsive host (mostly in Spanish). I would like to express my understanding to the host and all the people of Puerto Naos, as it must have been a very difficult time after the volcanic eruption and due to the ongoing town closure. We were happy to support tourism here and would love to return (if the beds are fixed 😊). Puerto Naos is a lovely small town (although many shops and businesses are still closed), with a nice beach.

We had difficulties locating the house, as both the address and map display on Booking.com are incorrect. The correct address is Calle Juana Tabares 3, 38769 Puerto Naos, Spain—not No. 1, as listed on Booking.com. The keys were supposed to be in a flower pot, but since we couldn’t locate the building, it was hard to find the right pot at 11 PM. After texting with the host, we found the pot (at a different house and a different block of houses), but the keys didn’t fit. We were not happy after a full day of traveling. Fortunately, the host arrived in about 15 minutes and provided us with a different set of keys. The worst part was the beds. There are two single beds (which can’t be put together as they are different heights). One of them is so squeaky that every single movement wakes you up, and the other one is very hard. Please fix this—it’s dreadful to come on holiday and not be able to sleep peacefully. It is not a one-bedroom apartment, but a studio (so the fridge is in the same room as you, which can be a bit annoying).

Costó un poco localizarlo, pero la Anfitriona, en todo momento estuvo pendiente. Y lo localizamos. Un sitio tranquilo. Acogedor.

Die Lage des Apartment ist gut mit Blick auf das Meer. Küche mit allem was man braucht inclusive Waschmaschine.

Das Haus ist in keinem guten Zustand, wie so einige in Puerto Naos nach der Sperrung der Stadt nach dem Vulkanausbruch. Zerissene Markisen von verlassenen Bäckerei unten, der Fahrstuhl im Haus funktioniert nicht.
