Gästewohnung auf dem Heilandhof

Der Heilandhof an sich war schön - Bauerhofambiente. Die Wohnung war gemütlich und authentisch eingerichtet.

Der Hausherr Andreas hat diesen Hof ganz liebevoll saniert und die Ferienwohnung ist ausgesprochen ruhig gelegen. Alles was man zum Wohnen und Übernachten braucht ist in einem ausreichenden und modernen Zustand vorhanden. Der Blick über den Hof mit dem Haupthaus ist allein schon ein Stilllebenbildmotiv wie aus dem Bilderbuch. Überall sind schöne Sommerblüher in Töpfen und die Schwalben ziehen fiepend ihre Bahnen. Kater Leo kommt schnurrend zum Streicheln vorbei. Die Ruhe dort ist einfach göttlich. Der Erholungseffekt ist hervorragend. Wir würden jederzeit wieder diese Ferienwohnung buchen.

Very beautiful setting and building, nice interior architecture, great atmosphere. Everything is renovated with a great taste. We work as designers, and we live in a 100 years old renovated villa too, so we can really appreciate it. There's everything inside the apartment you might need even for a multiple day stay. Everything is functional. The mosquito nets over the beds are a great thing in the summer (unless the cats get tangled in them). The surrounding nature and towns are also pretty nice, particularly Tangermünde. For adventurous stay in the nature, if you are cat person, this is very nice place to stay.

We stayed on a particularly warm day in the middle of the Summer, and therefore the position of the apartment under the attic poses some challenges in regards to comfort. That's to be expected. Without a/c the windows and ideally also the doors need to be fully open during the night to get at least a bit of fresh air inside (it was still 28 C inside at 10pm). With that there was one problem - the kittens (or young cats). There are multiple, and they are very friendly and probably used to stay in the apartment, and they were running inside and waking us up all night, jumping into our beds from the windows, tangling into the mosquito nets while trying to get under it, oftentimes stepping on our faces, licking us, et cetera. I'm not sure if you appreciate close contact with kitten who live outside, it made me a bit nervous. Until 3am they have woken me up at least 4 times, then I always took them out, and in an hour they were back, typically jumping from window into the moquito net. At like 3am in the night I didn't wanted to call the owners to avoid disturbing them, but it was really hard to sleep, so much so that I went to sleep into our car for a few hours (my wife and baby daughters have stronger sleep so they were better able to ignore the cats). And I'm cat person — we have cat at home, I grew up with them too, and I'm only very slightly allergic, but if someone is not used to cats and/or has stronger allergies, it might even be dangerous staying at this place.
