Bayview Family Apartments Glenelg

Fantastic location, five minutes walk from Moseley Square and beach. Spacious, well appointed two bedroom apartment. Cooling system worked really well. King sized bed was super comfortable and pillows really good too. Good communication. Guest laundry (although it's $4 for a load of washing) with a clothesline out the back and pegs provided.

They FORCE you to scan your licence (which after the Optus hack concerns me!!) and send them a selfie before they'll give you checkin info. Ground floor apartment with two doors, no security key just a standard key that anyone could copy, and about 8-10 vintage windows meant the place didn't feel very secure. Pretty sure they gave us the wrong wifi info (we were in apartment 5 but they gave us info for "Bayview 6" (flat 6 was upstairs) as the wifi was very weak. Shower a little small, with curtain rather than glass.

The property was very comfortable and had character. Blast from the past.

The property facilities list washing machine and dryer. These are present but are coin operated. This needs to be stated up front - additional cost and inconvenience of going to the laundry to do the washing while something else is underway, only to find that one needs to go out, obtain coins and come back. The entry to the bathroom is a trip hazard - this really needs attention. Both of us tripped so I hope your indemnity insurance is paid up. The shower has mould growing in the corner. I was not told which apartment was ours. Had to use trial and error with the key safes until the right one opened.

Location, comfort, just a shame we had to work and couldn't relax and holiday.

The shower area tiny, but won't complain. Couldn't get the iron working.

The location to shops, restaurants and the beach was great. The rooms were large and it was fairly quiet which was also good.

The bathroom especially the shower was very outdated. Some of the facilities such as the fridge need to be replaced. It also could do with a good spring clean as it felt grotty in places. I would recommend replacing the old grungy lounge and carpets as they were quite stained and dirty.
