The accommodation is adequate size for a couple to stay. Nice to have a separate living space to the bedroom and kitchen facilities with washing machine provided. Gated entrance to the site also makes you feel your car is safe and free parking. The hot tub was a great size, 4 person which was lovely for a couple to relax with plenty of space. The welcome bottle of Prosecco was a nice touch. The guy who welcomed us was friendly. The host was quick to reply to text messages with an issue we had with our bed. The amount of kitchen equipment and basics such as washing up liquid, dish washer and washing machine tablets made the stay easier. There are two smart tvs provided for you to use logged in to your own Netflix Prime etc accounts. Free WiFi. Location is good for popping to get bits from local shops, not far from Coventry city centre, a taxi cost around £8/9 each way in to the centre. Within half an hours drive you can visit many tourist spots such as Birmingham, Warwick Castle, Space Centre, British Motor Museum.

If staying a week more towels and toilet roll should be provided, 2 hand towels, 2 bath towels and 2 toilet roll isn’t sufficient. The host should consider installing blinds in the living and bedroom areas. There are curtains (not on the glass front door) however you feel these need to be drawn to give privacy which makes the barn dark and it’s nice to see some daylight. Also as the door is full glass it would benefit from a click in frame blind to help with privacy. There are 2 WiFi routers in the bedroom, which flash, illuminating the bedroom ceiling all night long, this should be moved or boxed in. We would also suggest some sort of canopy/sail over the hot tub area so it can be enjoyed in the rain. The property could have been cleaner, there were many cobwebs and the bathroom was very damp smelling, with mould around the shower. The shower head also needs tightening, as water leaks from the fitting affecting the water pressure. The big unit (unsure what for, maybe electricity) does make the bathroom very compact and is unsightly. The plants in the property and outside are all dead, you should remove these or take better care of them. The drive/parking area gives an initial bad impression, this does need some tidying up, weeding, remove rubble etc. We think the host should consider purchasing a better quality bed. It is a flimsy wooden frame which we had to ask to be tightened, which the host did do straight away however we do think for a relaxing stay away a good quality bed and mattress (mattress topper) should be provided. There are many cameras around the grounds of the property, which is great for security however highlights more why there is a need to have blinds at the windows and a canopy on the hot tub area. Other guests during our stay did raise some of the same feedback. We have noted these points not to criticise but to help the host make slight improvements to elevate the stay for their guests and attract reoccurring business.
