Clearer information at time of booking re deposit would be useful

Location was good, we had a sea view from the lounge area looking over to Mudeford Quay and the cliff top was only a few yards away.

Nothing all as expected

Beautiful location with a sea view and close to lots of amazing places. Nice nautical interior design and very well equipped caravan. Free leisure pass was a massive bonus - swimming pool for kids and sauna/steam room for adults. We stayed at the beginning of the October halfterm and there were plenty of Halloween-themed activities on site. We’ll definitely be back!

Communication with the host was shocking!!! No Monday has been retuned! Has to chase up about entry code the day before arrival He then proceeds to tell me I need to pay a deposit - “oh you have dog” then send me the bank details for me to pay £100 security deposit. I paid this with reluctance and back and forth. We got there and there is a camera facing entry door- this felt very uncomfortable as me and my friend were females and this was not clear on the booking description. I contacted the host- again he was rude and this did not sit well wit me after me explaining we were not comparable so can he turn the camera off as we were not aware there would be one etc- the host refused even after I said if it was about the key I would send a picture of us putting it back when we left or he could turn it back on the day we left. Caravan had stains on the carpet- ripped curtains - window handle broken - main double room stunk of smoke. I made sure to tidy the caravan - hoover- wash up- remove sheets off bedding etc to make sure I received the deposit back which was for breakages. A week after I contacted the host to ask when I would receive the £100 back and he said that as I bought dog there would be a £45 charge removed and also a penalty charge of £50 deducted……… no where on the booking did it say about any penalty charges!!!!! As explained to the host as you did not directly ask about a dog I assumed you knew as I searched for caravans that were dog friendly and your caravan come up- and also hence why you said at the beginning after I contacted you ‘oh you have dog’ then you sent over your bank details for the security deposit. I explained this and then said that the £45 can be deducted but this is not fair to take peoples money when your communication through this whole process has been shocking. And you can’t just take extra money off people.
