Escape to the Northwoods for a picturesque vacation at Mid Lake Retreat vacation home on the renowned Minocqua chain of lakes! Mid Lake welcomes guests into a bright, recently updated home with two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. This home is a perfect blend of natural elements and modern updates to provide you with all the amenities of home throughout your lake vacation.
Two bedrooms are conveniently located on the main level of the home with a full bathroom and cozy living room to unwind after an adventurous day. A large screen porch is perched above the lakefront with amazing views of the water and the wildlife trotting and flying by.
The lower level has been perfectly appointed with an adorable sitting area with a dry bar and walk out to the lake front. A full bathroom and laundry room have been added to the lower level for additional convenience.
Relax on the dock, shaded by the shoreline’s tree canopy while you grill or enjoy cocktail hour with your family and friends. Enjoy picnics under the sun on the patio, or head down to the waterfront for water adventures and explorations. The property has a private pier on Mid Lake, with plenty of space for watercraft or to fish right off that dock.
Mid Lake is a gorgeous 221 acre lake with a stunning, natural shoreline and great fishing. Explore by pontoon or enjoy the kayaks provided to paddle around the lake to enjoy exploring each lake of the chain. Mid Lake is one of 6 lakes that make up the Minocqua chain, which offers over 15 miles of waterfront. With a plethora of lakeside bars and restaurants, weekly ski shows and historical landmarks, there is an adventure around every corner!

Ride your sleds right from Mid Lake Retreat to meet the trail and head into the winter wonderland. Family of 5, kids 7,8,13. Very nice accommodations, plenty of space for everyone to spread out and not having to be all in one room. Nice bedrooms, not huge, but enough room. Kitchen very clean well equipped. Here’s the But,
Very uneven concrete, so many trip hazards. This is the area on the lakeside. Concrete is slanted and the ends just drop off where it meets the other concrete. You can see it in the pictures on the site. We were very careful yet one of the kids did trip and cut his knee. I hope the owners fix this area, it would make it so nice if it was leveled. Very young and the more unsteady adults will find this a hazard.
On a good note, the dock is very nice, the lake is nice for using the kayaks provided. Just not a swimming lake due to all the rocks and weeds. There is a machine that’s on the lake a lot to cut the weeds and keep them down, although because of the weeds, it's a good fishing lake.
To sum it up, our only concern is the concrete hazard lakeside. We did have a very nice time. We won’t be back to this property only because of the lack of swimming.
