Studios Funchal

Fantastic reception at arrival (late) with everything from detailed run-through of the facilities, to personalized tips and recommendations for everything. The apartment (and the rest of the building) was kept sparkling clean and crisp, all the time. Perfectly situated central building, with everything important in walking-distance.

An ungoing building/renovation of a nearby building was somewhat loud and disturbing - but only during work-hours daytime, and nothing we could keep the owners of our apartment responsible for.

The administrator was really friendly and kind and always willing to help. She gave tips about where to go, how to, and also where to eat.

Unfortunately, there were construction works in the building next door so from 7am there were workers and really heavy noises. However, this is not something the hosts could do anything about.

Great location, everything in Funchal is close and on walking distance. Parking garage for only € 5.50 a day 10 mins walk. Very pleasant personal, warm check in. Thanks Marisa for all the info you shared. When we come back to Funchal, we sure come back to Studios Funchal.

The apartment is situated in a great location in the old town within easy walking distance to attractions or public transport. A range of restaurants are on your door step. The apartment was spacious, beautifully decorated, quiet and clean. Top marks go to Marisa for her communication and little touches to make the stay pleasant - like supplying milk, coffee pods, shoe cleaning cloths for hiking, and biscuits to get us started. She is the only host on our trip who gave us a personal run-through of the apartment plus recommendations. We recommend using Pico Doce supermarket nearby which has an excellent range and a great cafeteria at very reasonable prices.

The only thing to be aware of, there is no lift
