Acorn Lodge · Luxury Retreat In a Stunning Oasis With Hot Tub - Pass the Keys

The house is lovely. The lounge is spacious and beautiful, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. It’s very child friendly, with good equipment for young children (toys, high chair, plastic crockery).

The listing doesn’t make it clear that one of the bedrooms is in a separate annex. For us it was ok, but for a different configuration of family could well be an issue. It’s also advertised as ‘6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms’ - which sounds good , but they don’t specify that two of the bedrooms are en suite, meaning the other 4 bedrooms are left sharing one bathroom. Not ideal. The front door is hard to open - it has a ‘knack’ - we couldn’t open it on arrival even once we collected the keys, and when we called the service number it took a full 1.5 hours till someone called us who actually knew how to explain how to open the door. Not a good start. The dishwasher barely worked, and the shower isn’t that great. The house is really nice, but when charging a premium price I expected better!
